The Thing Called Ice Bucket Challenge

Golfers and this thing called Ice Bucket Challenge
The one who started ALS Ice Bucket Challenge was John Levin. It is an activity where the bucket of iced water is poured or dumped into someone's head and the goal is to promote the awareness campaign of the disease which is called  "AMYOTROPHIC LATERAL SCLEROSIS".

ALS is a disease which is also referred to Motor Neuron Disease,  Ice Bucket Challenge is originally about raising money for charity in every dump of cold or iced water on someone's head. This challenge went viral throughout the social media starting month of July, and some Filipino celebrities are engaged in the ALS Association and some are in the Motor Neuron Disease Association. From 2013 to early 2014, this unknown origin is often called "COLD WATER CHALLEGE".

In the Middle of 2014, as it went viral to a social media's it became a "pop culture phenomenon", particularly in the United states with the numerous celebrities, athletes and politicians some of people are maybe even have a hysterical laughter with this challenge, they focusing primarily on fun but rather than donating on a charity but some that are suffering from this disease is taking this situation seriously because they believe that this won't take long, they still hoping that they may be healed from this disease.

Even though some are not giving donations but still they participate and join with the Motor Neuron Disease  Association through posting their videos taking the Ice Bucket Challenge to the social media's, everyone is allowed to do this said challenge to be able to help the ALS survivors. There are some cases that scammers were taking advantage of the (ALS) ice bucket challenge, in which the scammers sending an emails containing the promises of watching videos of the challenge and then installing either spyware or malware on the user's computer or  taking them to the fake website where they are ask to enter their personal information and up to the conditions where the donation was given to the scammers that should be really donated to the Motor Neuron Disease  Association or charity.

There are rules that the challenger should abide, here are some: 
  •  Participants should record a video of themselves in a continuous footage.
  • First they will announce that they accepted the ice bucket challenge.
  • And followed by pouring the ice into a bucket of water.
  • Then dumping the bucket with ice water into the participants head.
  • And then the participants and they may now call out the challenge to other people.
  • Whether people get involved into the option of either to donate, to perform the challenge, or do both option.
