When Food Becomes Toxic

How can we turn eating into health empowering exercise? The following are scientifically proven facts that we are hardly aware of:

Excessive Proteins
Adequate amounts of high quality proteins maybe derived from our daily food if we eat adequate vegetables fruits, seeds and nuts.

Excessive Fats
Margarine should never be used, small amounts of natural butter is better. Health experts prescribe the following diet: 15-20% fat, 10% protein, and 70-75% complex natural carbohydrates. If followed, this percentage distribution of food elements, one free of excessive proteins and fats, would minimize one from having cancer.

Excessive use of salt
Excessive salt can cause high blood pressure, heart disease, and cancer of the stomach and bowels. Salt  according to health experts, must not exceed five grams a day, including  all dietary sources. Dr. Dante Buenaflor, a health expert, avers that we can obtain all of the salt we need from natural unprocessed, unsalted foods. Whole sea salt, used in moderation is a better option than processed iodized salt.

Refined white sugar and white flour
Everything made from them like cookies, cakes, candies, doughnuts, etc. that are also often made with artificial sweeteners and fructose. Honey must be used according to Dr. Buenaflor, in strict moderation.

Excessive drinking of alcohol

Smoking, including cigarettes, cigars, and tobacco.

Coffee, tea, chocolate, and other caffeine-containing beverages like colas.

Harmful spices and condiments such as mustard, black and white peppers, white vinegar.

Rancid foods
Rancid foods and rancid fats found in wheat germ, seeds, nuts and vegetable oils, are major causes of breast cancer and many other cancers.
